United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ:
*To develop a creative, supportive fellowship
* Expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
United Methodist Men
The Decatur United Methodist Men is an organization of men of the church who are interested in service, fellowship, and personal growth. Our objective is to assist men in knowing Jesus Christ, to serve Him, to grow spiritually and seek daily to do His will.
Purpose:
1. To get all men of the church involved in at least one of our areas of ministry.
2. To encourage participation in all of the UMM functions by bulletin inserts or announcements, newsletter articles or inserts, telephone calling, personal contact, "each one bring one" campaign, etc.
3. To help make each UMM function a fun and worthwhile place to be.
Prayer and Share
Prayer and Share I meets Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm in the Lounge
Prayer and Share II meets Wednesday evening at 6:15 pm in the Library
Wisdom People
The Wisdom People is a Senior Citizen group that meets on the third Tuesday of each month for food and fellowship. The meeting is held either at the church or at a restaurant where food is served and a program presented.

Men's Groups
The Monday Group meets Monday morning at 8:00 pm in the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Classroom.
The Wednesday Group meets Wednesday morning at 6:30 am at West End Restaurant, 702 W. Monroe St., Decatur, just west of the church.
VBS "Take the Plunge" was the theme for 2007
Mission project, to assist UMCOR in giving one Nicaraguan family a rope pump.
AWESOME the children were on a mission, as the project was explained they decided to help not one family but seven family's. Yes, seven family's were given assistance through UMCOR in Nicaragua.
The final evening a "Make a Splash With Jesus" happened as the family fun night took place at Decatur's Waterworks Park. Wow, a picnic of hot dogs, chips cookies and swimming.
VBS 2007 was a success taking the plunge and making a splash for Jesus. And all God's children said "Amen."
